I've always been a story teller. For many years I told other peoples stories through my work as an actress.
Then in 2011 my mom, Joanie, died by suicide. I began to notice how many people found a way to transform their pain into acts of service. In the years since my mom died I've tried to hold my grief in a way that can serve as a light to others and I've helped people put their dreams of service into action. Now I gather stories of resilience, of the moments that stop us in our tracks, stories that I hope will inspire the will to continue on when we think we can not.
I am a believer in hope and service. I am fascinated by grief and resilience.
I am currently working of my master's of clinical psychology at Antioch University with a specialization in trauma. I spend most of my time chasing my toddler, August.
In my personal blog you'll find stories of hope, loss and motherhood.
